Altrad’s new contract award with Shell in the UK worth £24 million

ALTRAD has announced the signing of a three-year contract - with the option for two further one-year extensions - to provide services to its client Shell, in support of their #Clipper and #Leman_Alpha offshore gas platforms and the #Bacton gas processing plant, near Great Yarmouth in the UK.

The contract, which starts in July 2021, is worth approximately £24 million over the initial three-year contract period, and includes the provision of #access, #rope access, #insulation, and #painting services to support the #maintenance activities of the oil giant's most critical assets.

Chris Garland, Altrad’s UK upstream operations director, said: “The award of this contract builds on our successful international strategic relationship with Shell at Altrad Group level and we look forward to using the ingenuity of our people to support the operation of these assets”.

The contract allows Altrad to provide 80 new permanent jobs, a figure that is expected to rise to around 120 people during peak periods of activity.

The new contract, which displaces both Bilfinger Salamis and Brand Energy Infrastructure Services, was awarded to Altrad because the group was best placed to meet Shell's requirements in terms of safety, quality and environmental performance, and because there was real added value based on a strong results and performance driven model.
